In the first debate of the 2008 campaign season, Stephanie once again proved why she's the right person for the job. In each response to a variety of questions from the moderator and the audience, Stephanie gave concrete examples of how she's met the concerns of South Dakotans with the legislation she has introduced and passed for us in Washington. That legislation has been fiscally responsible and has reached across party lines.
The ranchers and farmers in the group were encouraged to hear about the progress the commodities bill, HR 6604, and Stephanie's dedication to get it passed in the House in September.
For those of us concerned about gas prices, (That’s all of us, right?) Stephanie gave a great answer that outlined her multifaceted approach to tackling the energy crisis.
